A juvenile
This colourful iridescent snail is usually found on algae in rocky areas. It is variable in colour, but usually from orange to greenish, with spiral lines and sometimes light banding. Its whorls are almost straight, with a very slight convex curve, and the shell surface is smooth. It is similar to other species in its genus, but is usually larger. Small specimens are very difficult to distinguish from other species, however, except by close examination of pattern and shape.
