Spionid Worms

Spionid worms are small tube worms that construct their tubes from sand or detritus, cemented with mucous. They feed with the aid of two grooved palps, which they use to find particles on the surface of their host, often a sponge. They differ from other tube worms in that they are mobile, and can move across surfaces, tube and all.
