Segmented Worms
The segmented worms (Phylum Annelida) likely to be found in the marine environment include the bristle worms (Class Polychaeta) and the Clitellates, which along with earthworms, also include marine leeches. Worms move by a combination of peristalsis, undulations, or with the aid of limb-like parapodia. They feed in a variety of ways, with species that are filter feeders, parasites, scavengers and in some cases, predators.
