Elamena abrolhensis

This small crab is similar to the more common Halicarcinus ovatus, but does not have the prongs between the eyes. Instead, the frontal margin of the carapace is smooth-edged. It is brown in colour, often with some pale white blotches, and small spirorbid worms on the carapace. The carapace itself is flat and oval-shaped, wider than it is long.
