Size: 15 cm

Distribution: Unknown. Few records from Port Noarlunga

Habitat: Rocky reef and jetty pylons

Depth: Subtidal to 10+ metres

Not previously recorded in South Australia, this mostly tropical ascidian is most common in Queensland. Its spherical, wrinkly body is usually entirely covered in epiphytes, with only its distinctive siphons visible. A striking blueish white inside the siphon distinguishes this species from other solitary ascidians.
