Habitat: A wide variety of coastal habitats, but commonly on rocky coast
Depth: High intertidal and splash zone
This fast moving isopod can be encountered in large numbers on rocky coastlines. A dark brownish grey in colour, it is easily mistaken for other marine isopods, particularly Cirolania australiense. However, its long and slender branching uropods, forward-pointing antennae and its more elongate body help to distinguish it.
