Siphonaria funiculata

This false limpet is very similar in appearance to the closely-related, but much more common Siphonaria diemenensis. Both species are found in similar habitat, and are difficult to distinguish. Both have light-coloured primary and secondary ribs, with brownish colouration in between, however, S. funiculata is usually taller, with less pronounced difference between primary and secondary ribs, and has more ribs overall.
