Often found on darwinellid sponges, which are its food source, this medium-sized nudibranch grows to about 3cm. It is white in colour, with a margin of purple spots, and orange spots on its back, while its rhinophores and gills are uniformly white. This colouration is consistent, and distinguishes this species from others such as Mexichromis macropus, Ceratosoma amoenum and Thorunna florens.
