Blennies (Family Blennidae) are a family of small, mostly benthic (bottom-dwelling) fishes. They are commonly found in rocky crevices, and may also find homes in sandy burrows, empty bivalve shells and worm tubes, and even discarded bottles. They can be identified by their blunt snout and long-based dorsal and anal fins.
