As their name suggests, most clingfishes (family Gobiesocidae) are able to cling to a variety of surfaces. They do this using a specialised sucking disc, formed from their modified pelvic fins. These small fish mostly feed on small crustaceans or snails, but some species have become cleaner hosts including Cochleoceps bicolor, which is found in South Australia.
