Spiders and Other Arachnids

Arachnids are a class of 8-legged and mostly terrestrial arthropods. Although they are primarily land-based animals, a small number can be classed as living exclusively in marine environments, including a single genus of intertidal spiders, and a number of aquatic mites and ticks, with several types being partly or exclusively marine-dwelling.
